Semi-Conductor
  - In wire industry terminology, a material possessing electrical conductivity that falls somewhere between that of conductors and insulators.
Separator
  - A layer of insulating material which is placed between a conductor and its dielectric.
Signal Cable
  - A cable designed to carry current of usually less than one ampere per conductor to operate signal circuit devices.
Single Mode Fiber
  - A fiber wave guide in which only one mode will propagate. The fiber has a very small core diameter of approximately 8mm.
Switchboard Cable
  - A cable used within and between the central office main frames and the switchboard.
Tensile Strength
  - The pull stress required to break a given subject.
THHN
  - Nylon jacketed building wire for dry and damp locations.
Tinned Copper
  - Tin coating added to copper to aid in soldering and inhibit corrosion.
Tray
  - A cable tray is a unit or assembly of units or sections and associated fittings, made of noncombustible materials forming a rigid structural system used to support cables.
Tray Cable
  - A factory-assembled multi-conductor or multi-pair control, signal or power cable specifically approved for installation in trays.
Tubing
  - A tube of extruded non-supported plastic or metallic material.
